I just had to post about this picture because I absolutely love the look on her face.  It’s so cute to see how little sisters look up to their big brothers and want to be just like them.  My brother and I are also 2.5 years apart like these guys and I remember wanting to be just like him when I was really little.  I just hope she continues to adore him after he runs his trucks through her hair and it gets so tangled that they have to cut her hair off, after he locks her out of their clubhouse and won’t let her in, after he teases her mercilessly for knocking out her front teeth, after he pulls her hair so hard that it makes her cry, …….obviously I could go on and on.  The good news is that he’ll also be there when some OTHER boy tries to pull her hair and God help that poor boy when her big brother comes to her defense!!!!!!!!!

I was so psyched to take pictures of these 2 cuties because they are the kids of my old roommates.  We used to live together after I graduated from college and we had some really fun times together.  John and Jen were engaged a week before Kevin and I, they were married 2 weeks after Kev and I (FUN wedding – we still talk about me dancing with Jen’s dad and Kevin’s karaoke of The Immigrant Song at the hotel bar.  Let’s just say that we were lucky the hotel had vacancies that night!!), and they had their first child a year before we did.  Here is adorable Riley (yes, he is older than my Ri but I figured they’d forgive me for using the same name) and the totally hilarious and beautiful Clare.

 He was laughing at his own joke here – too funny.

I thought it was cute that you could see her brother’s reflection in the store window

and a hug (or was it a tackle – is there any difference when you’re 2??)

I usually like to post color pics but this one screamed “convert me – convert me” to me so I had to listen.  Look for more from this session real soon but for now, I have to go get my son.  My beloved nap time was not nearly long enough today!!!!!!!!!

So I’m taking a new class and it’s kicking my butt.  The first assignment has made me step out of my comfort zone and take on new lighting situations which I would normally avoid like the plague.  I actually like some of the moodiness of these shots so what do you think??????  I also love this location.  I wish more clients liked urban sessions but so far – no luck.
