exciting stuff December 10th, 2008
My poor neglected blog is in need of some updating so I thought I’d carve 10 minutes out of my day to devote to it. First order of business is that I finally took the plunge and switched to a mac (can I hear some applause?!?!?) and while it has been exciting for me and my desktop has never looked better, it has also been a challenge. While I love the sleekness of it – I miss the computer unit a.k.a. my footrest on my pc and I hate my new mouse but these are all things I can live with. I also have not calibrated my monitor yet so if any of the following images look weird to you then I will blame it on my learning curve – if they look better than usual then OH YEAH – I totally meant to do that.
The other exciting news is that we FINALLY got our tree. I was beginning to worry that it may never happen. Here are some pictures taken this evening after Riley, Rowan, and I decorated it. Be aware that it was completely black out and my ISO was set at 5000 so if the noise bothers you then cover your ears. :) Clever huh? Clearly I’m sleep deprived – I’ve been shacking up in Riley’s room in an attempt to steer clear of whatever communicable disease Kevin picked up earlier this week.
I got off cheap tonight – it only took three smarties to get little man to step in front of the camera for a millisecond after screaming NO twenty times.

let me just pick my jaw off the floor first and then i will applaud the Mac. Is Kevin too sick to straighten the tree? or is that the angle of the camera, tee hee.
my thought too:-) about the tree I mean. I love the angle tough. in the bw looks good on my screen. congratulations on the MAC, I’ve been thinking about that lots too, but it has to wait, just had to pay a hefty lumpsum to the cameradoctor, as my good old friend EOS 20D stopped working the other day, he had just had enough I guess. So a new year with lots of new customers and orders I hope, and then I might splash out on a new camera AND a MAC.

It’s a little bit of both – the trunk is relatively straight but the branches are completely lop-sided. The darn thing takes up half of my family room though.
I love these pictures! The angle, the mood, and WOW the bw is awesome! I hope you love your mac. The mouse does take some getting used to but I love the roller button and being able to roll all over an image in ps! My husband still hates my mac but it is mine right! You are going to love it!
Wow never would have guessd you had to crank up th ISO so high. It looks great. Oh and you are totally right about mullet man, forgot about that one.. Congrats on the MAC one day I hope to get one..
Love the colors, these are a bit Nightmare before Christmas -esque. I agree with Heidi though, where was the man of the house and why is this tree crooked??
